This is a two stage Catch-can that we have developed specifically for the Dry Sump LT4 engines.
Traditionally, with a Dry sump Engine. The crankcase is intended to be sealed, with the oil capacity stored in an external tank that is not subject to windage or extreme g forces. So, if you add a vented catch can to your Dry Sump equipped engine. You've essentially created a permanent leak in the Crankcase, taking away efficiency in the scavenging abilities of the two stage oil pump to pull oil and pressure out of the crankcase.
Our Catch Can is designed to keep the dry sump oil system and crankcase sealed under normal operating circumstances, and only vent under high pressure circumstances. This configuration combined with a vented oil tank retains the intended benefits of a dry sump oiling system.
This is a race configuration intended to simply vent excess crankcase pressure. It does not include OEM EVAP Functionality. 99% of our Intended use for this product is for Twin Turbo applications combined with aftermarket valve covers. While it will work with Supercharged applications, we cannot guarantee fitment or configuration options. We include only -AN10 or -12 AN style fittings and hose for the Valve Cover Connections. We can add additional fittings if needed.
